A few days ago, time has come for this RM1180 #16 to leave our yard and splash in La Rochelle. After the last check, she sailed up north toward La Trinité, creating her apparent wind in a big calm! (see video)
Scotland and Ireland are already on her logbook for next summer. But that’s just the beginning of a long journey for this twin-keeled RM1180.
We will obviously share her passages and records, but we thought today was a great opportunity to recall the reason why her owner named her Passiflor II. Remember:
« Well, Passiflor I is clearly recalling memories, since it is the name of the yacht – a 11m20 Jeanneau Voyage – my parents gave me when they were about to leave this world.
I still own this boat; she’s based in La Trinité.
Passiflor II is therefore the continuation of their lives, since they were the ones who put me on a boat when I was 2 years old. I actually never disembarked, as I now run a charter business in the Caribbean. (www.tiptopcatamaran.com).
I owe them so much! »
Stay tuned to follow up with the next adventures of this yacht and her owner!
