Bernard Rubinstein, as known as « Rubi », slipped his lines forever, about a year ago.
He was an iconic journalist, with a second-to-none maritime culture and knowledge.
A former Tabarly crew member, he was respected not only by his peers, but also by all the shipyards teams, who had a chance to get their yachts examined and duly tested by the man in the last 40 years.
Rubi loved RM Yachts, as they were « simple and seaworthy », as he used to say between two pipe’s puffs.
We still remember his sea trial of the RM880, here with our General Manager, Martin Lepoutre.
Organized by his former colleagues of French media VoileMagazine, the first « Rubi’s Cup » is a rally happening this week-end around the island of Groix (South Brittany), together with passionate sailors, friends, and readers of course.
